Stainless Steel Introduce

INCONEL 22 is extremely resistant to water and general corrosion, crevice corrosion, intergranular attack, pitting and stress corrosion cracking, tough and versatile even at high temperatures. A nickel base with 22% chromium, Inconel 22 is completely austenitic. This means it is non-magnetic and will not harden with heat treatment. Nickel also helps protect the alloy from corrosion by halides such as chloride and fluoride when subjected to extreme heat. In addition to nickel and chromium, Inconel 22 contains 14% molybdenum and 3% tungsten. These two metals make the alloy resistant to wet reducing media such as iron, copper salts and nitric acid. Combined with chromium’s resistance to wet oxidizing media such as iron salts, copper salts and nitric acid, this makes Inconel 22 particularly suitable for use in highly corrosive environments where safety is paramount.
