Stainless Steel Introduce

Hastelloy N is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with a small amount of tungsten, which offers excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of harsh chemical environments. The alloy is known for its resistance to both oxidizing and reducing conditions, as well as its ability to withstand stress corrosion cracking and pitting. Hastelloy N is primarily used in applications that involve high temperatures and corrosive environments, such as chemical processing, petrochemical refining, and nuclear fuel processing.

The chemical composition of Hastelloy N typically includes 56-60% nickel, 20-23% chromium, 8-10% molybdenum, and 0.5-1.5% niobium/tantalum. The small amount of tungsten added to the alloy enhances its resistance to localized corrosion, particularly in environments containing sulfuric acid.

Hastelloy N is available in a variety of forms, including plates, sheets, bars, wires, and pipes. The alloy can be welded using a range of techniques, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).

Overall, Hastelloy N offers excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, and good weldability, making it a popular choice for applications in harsh chemical environments.
